Next week's episode totally looks like it'll explain Parker's background.

I liked the episode. I thought the first half dragged a little bit but once the action really got started, it was good.

I'm actually very surprised that I liked yesterday's episode with the orphans and the gun smugglers in Serbia. I normally hate episodes centered
around trying to make you feel all mushy over kids (yes, I'm that Grinch-ish) but this one was good, mostly because you were invested in Parker and
Parker's experience as an orphan and her pain. The whole episode was engaging. Pulled you right in from the start (something the bank robbery one
didn't do, imo) and kept on rolling. Nate as the director had me laughing and the fact that the other chick, what's her name? Sophie? Could act
because she was acting to act in a con. LOL.

Apparently, Leverage and I are just not meant to be. This is the second week in a row that I've missed the episode.

The one last night was okay. Nothing "Great" and that's my problem with the show. Episodes are hit and miss and it's getting to the point
I'm forgetting its on... never a good sign for me when I don't go OoOoOoh it's Tues! 9 o'clock! Leverage!
However, the huge Whovian dork in me LOVED the mention on yesterday's episode that Nate and Sophie were boarding the plane and discussing passport identities of Peter Davidson, Sylvester McCoy, before settling on Dr. Tom and Mary Jane Baker. The reply of "Who?" made me bwhahahhaahahahah. Any Dr. Who fan out there knows what those references were about -- Davidson, McCoy and Baker were all actors who played The Doctor in the longrunning BBC series "Dr. Who". Tom Baker, of course, was one of the most popular "doctors" on the BBC series Doctor Who (1974 - 1981). I believe that's when his incarnation was. Sarah Jane was one of his longest running, most popular companions. *G* See? Total geek moment. And M, TNT has full episodes of Leverage available on their website to watch if you want. The thing driving me CRAZY from this last one (mile high job) is who the @#$% played the accountant chick on the airplane named Marissa Devins. She looked so freaking familiar to me. I know I know ...OMG! Sara Rue! Rueh? Something like that. That's who that was! The show Less Than Perfect. Geez. That was killing me. JT |

I enjoyed last night eppy especially when Nate recalled the moment he met Sophie. I thought that was a sweet moment between them.

I think my favorite part of the episode was when they were talking about how Nate and Eliot knew there would be an extra flight attendent uniform in the
luggage. That part just cracked me up.

Gosh darn it, I missed last week's episode (part 1 of the final 2 parter episodes of the season). But I *did* just see the commercial for part two and
pointed and laughed because in the very first post I did about this show for this thread said:
I'm actually surprised Kari Matchett wasn't cast in this series given her amazing chemistry (and Hutton's fondness for working with her in onscreen "pairings") with Hutton. And who pops up in the commercial for the final episode? Kari Matchett! Who knew!? JT Not a Campaign Forum Member? Click Here to PM & Donate! |

Finally got caught up on the episode I missed and saw the season finale episode (weeee! new episodes coming in the summer!) and I loved, loved, loved it.
It does feel like, however, they might be tinkering with a few aspects of the show for season 2 which I'd actually like to see.
Loved the shifting dynamic of trust/mistrust between all the team members and the ending scene cutting right to black was seriously a great hook. The
resolution of the 2nd part of the episode (and I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet) was really good... and I laughed when it happened
because that's exactly what I thought of doing if I were in the same shoes. Too funny. I personally am not really interested in playing a character who, when he is having a difficult time, turns to the bottle. I think that idea has a certain shelf life. The demons don't go away, but how he deals with them and his way to shut down or escape those thoughts and feelings has to transform into some other type of behavior to keep it interesting.

Damn, I completely forgot about the finale....thank gawd I have on Demand TV and can see it whenever I want for the next couple of weeks. JT,
your breakdown of how everything went down sounds really good. I completely forgot that Kari Matchett was going to be in the finale and am happy to know that
she will be back in the new eppies this summer. LOL! Baby!

Hmmm...Maggie part of the cast fulltime? I don't know if I like that. I liked Maggie (and the actress) very much in the finale, but I really like the
dynamic of just the five of them. The idea of seeing that change is not appealing to me. I've never been interested in a Nate/Sophie relationship and it
seems the introduction of his ex-wife as a full time member of the cast would just just put more emphasis on Nate's personal life - which I'm also not
interested in. I'm more interested in the Eliott, Parker and Harddison...and Sophie when she's not making googly eyes at Nate.

Why is it that writers/producers always feel the need to add to their core cast in season 2? That's how you ruin the dynamic of an awesome show. While I
adore Keri Matchett (I loved her on Invasion), I think it would be a major mistake adding her as a permanent cast member. Maybe the occasional guest
star, but not with any sort of permanent reoccurance.
I'm hoping we get more back story on the original 5. We get where Parker comes from, and Nate, now I wanna know about Hardison, Eliot, and Sophie. At least season 2 starts airing this summer. That gives me something to look forward to. ~*~ Iz ~*~

Well, maybe Kari's character will be recurring and not a permanent part of the cast.
And Mariah, I see what you're saying about how bringing in new characters or character for season two can change the dynamics of a show. I know it ONLY too well. LOL! Baby! ~Jeanine~

I finally got to watch the finale and I really enjoyed it.
I'm with everyone...I don't want them to change the dynamic from the 5 original characters. I don't think they need to add anyone to the core group. I don't mind Sophie making googly eyes at Nate, because I like the sexual/emotional tension between them. I don't know that I need to see it realized, but I like that it's always there. Now that Nate has come clean to the ex-wife and exacted his revenge on IYS and whatever his name was...hopefully he can find some peace. I LOVED the ending. It only left me wanting more. :: Lynda ::
